Saigon by Anthony Grey

I had had this book for YEARS and never got very far. The style was a bit irritating at times, but it was a very, very interesting read from a historical point of view. Given that I have just recently returned from my first trip to Vietnam, it held a completely new fascination for me and it covers the many tragic events that beset the country from its brutal colonial oppression under the French to the ill-fated anti communist interference by the US.
